30 December 2018

Coming soon to a Internet Connection Point near you.

Well, as you obviously know, the December the first review never happened. This was due to, as usual, family reasons. So, I decided to take the whole month off. Lazy, I know, but it was necessary for my mental stress levels. I'm seventeen now, life ain't a cakewalk anymore.

Anyway, back to the subject. The subject being "Ghosts and stuff."

All the things I said was going to do in December, will be moved to January. The whole aim of 2019 is to improve, and actually do things with Ghostguard, instead of just forgetting it exists.

Here's to 2019, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year and all that jazz, see you then and there and finally, as always, Happy Hunting!

The new review!

Well, Thanksgiving has been and gone, the turkey (or Quorn) is all finished and the annual viewing of Planes, Trains and Automobiles has gone down a storm and now there's only a few days until the cultural madness that is December arrives. I've got quite a few plans, one involving a new video being posted on December the first! The video will remain a secret for now, but it should be good. It's different to anything I've filmed before.

This month is actually the first anniversary of the Ghostguard Blog, and the second anniversary of Ghostguard itself. I am now seventeen, and have a much greater understanding of what I can, cannot and am allowed to do in my slightly-less amateurish search for information on ghosts, aliens and other unexplained events. I am equipped with an EMF Meter, an updated video camera and a sound recorder, far more than I had in the past.  I hope I can keep going, as now my friends have lost all interest in the paranormal, I cannot investigate. NEVER investigate alone, just in case something happens to you. Fall off of a ledge and break your leg? Better hope you have mobile signal, as you went on your own!

Anyway, the new review comes on December the first. Hope to see you then, and I would like to thank all the followers and subscribers who have given me enough confidence to keep going. Thanks especially to Creepy Seven Paranormal for the bonus publicity! I know I'm sceptical about most of his videos, but I value the help you've given me.

So so long and Happy Hunting!

Getting my act together.

Believe it or not, up until this point in time, I did not have a blog upload schedule that I actually followed. As I constantly felt like I was behind or that I wasn't posting enough, which I probably wasn't, I decided to re-write my schedule. The new schedule is one post per week, most likely being posted on Sundays. There should also be a new video every month, unless something crops up.

So, the next true post will be next Sunday. Stay tuned, and Happy Hunting!

Last of the Local Legends: A Paranormal Ranking.

This is the second paranormal ranking, and I'm glad the last post got into double figures, otherwise I'd probably never do another one. Anyway, as you could guess by the title, this list is ranking all the sightings of the unexplainedin Ceredigion, especially around the Aberystwyth area. This blog has been largely absent this month due to school stuff (Year 13 is difficult, ya' know!) but I am doing this one, and a two-part special on Halloween itself! Stay tuned to this station! (I know there's no dial, I just like saying that.)

You might remember some of these from the surprisingly unpopular "Local Legends" posts. I'm not afraid to repeat, as people will actually bother to read this post.

5. The Promenade Couple: A simple pair of Class 3s allegedly from the 60's, but sighted in the 80's. They have been seen walking down the prom at Aberystwyth during the middle of the day, heading towards Constitution Hill. They must be tourists. The reason this one is at number five is that I consider it a nice little sighting, so worthy of the list, even though they have't been since.

4. The Consti Woman: The first ever place we went to to investigate was Constitution Hill in Aberystwyth to search for the Consti Woman. Now, nobody knows for sure who the Consti Woman was and she's only been seen about three times, but she has been described in meticulous detail nearly every time.

3. The Aber Castle Ghost: Biased, I know, but for third place I have chosen the possible ghost we detected in Aberystwyth Castle. Although this shouldn't really get third spot on this list, I've chose it as it contains evidence other than sightings. In the case of this possible ghost, high EMF Readings that weren't present the two times we went to check afterwards. There could be other explanations, but we weren't near any electrical equipment or internet hubs at the time, and when we went to scan the nearby outdoor circuit boxes, we found nothing. I'm not 100% convinced, as there's not enough to go on, but at least it's there.

2. The Plane: Lieutenant Xenophon Eugenedes was a pilot during the Second World War, who's plane crashed in the Plynlimon Mountains in Ceredigion in 1945. His plane has been seen still flying around the area where he crashed, and according to eyewitnesses, the plane didn't make noise. As he would have flown a Lockheed Lightning, they shouldn't be completely silent. One sighting has reported the plane flying at a ver low angle, was if it was about to crash, roughly in the same place where the plane wreck is. The plane wreck is still there, and I would like to see it one day, if only to get a few photos. However, most of it has been stolen or vandalised now.

1. Nanteos Mansion: The Ceredigion ghost hotspot, according to many people. The mansion has had a fair share of sightings, with ghosts being spotted by residents, visitors and even an S4C TV Crew who were bothered by a Class 3 so much, they packed up and left without finishing their recording! There's the ghost of William Griffiths, who was murdered by a gardener (Who killed him with a rake!) and the ghost of a man who drowned in a nearby lake. There's also a typical "Gray Lady" called Elizabeth Owen. During the 1930s, one man proclaimed he had seen Ms. Owen's ghost, but then he died later that day without explanation.

This is this last Local Legends post, hopefully it'll do better than all the previous entries with that name. Thanks for reading, stay tuned and Happy Hunting!

P.S: I've deliberately left off the UFO Crash in Llanilar from '83, as there's too much to go into for one post. If you're interested in that story, click this link: https://ghostguardhq.blogspot.com/2017/11/local-legends.html

Ghosts of Newcastle and the North of England.

This is the first of the Paranormal rankings, this time ranking ghosts of Newcastle. This was inspired by me going there during the summer.
ghosts are all over Newcastle, according to various sources, but unlike most places, these aren't restricted to houses and apartments near famous locations. No, in the same way as New York and Edinburgh, most of the Newcastle sightings are IN the landmarks.

Partly so I can reuse this photo. Thanks Wikipedia.

HERE BEGINS THE COUNTDOWN.

5) The Lit and Phil: According to a sign I saw whilst inside the Lit and Phil, there are up to SIXTEEN ghosts that have manifested on three separate floors of the building. Now, some of these cold be the same ghosts manifesting as different classes, but I'm going to go with the figure they gave for this entry. According to their website, they "all seem to be linked to the Library, whether a member or employee," which makes sense, as it could explain why they manifested there in the first place. Apart from some information saying most of these sightings are audible only, such as coughing and pages turning without anyone being present, there is not a lot of information on these ghosts, but the Library is holding an Investigation night on the 27th of January 2019, from 9PM to 2AM, so you can check that out if you want.

4) Newcastle Castle: As you would expect from a place called Newcastle, Newcastle has a castle, and there have been sightings there too. These range from mists, orbs, mysterious scratches on visitors (Although, they could just have hit the masonry, it is a castle after all!) and poltergeist activity to "The Poppy Girl" a Class 3, possible former flower girl who was beaten to death by prisoners in the jail there. The smell of flowers is often reported alongside, or slightly after, the appearance of the girl.

3)  The Black Gate: With a name like this, I am not surprised at all to hear they suffer from poltergeist activity and other kinds of sightings, such as Shadowy Class 3s and a woman on a balcony who stares at people. Weird. Anyway, the ominously named, Black Gate is built on to the Castle, so some of them could be the same ghosts as the ones in the castle. You never know.

2) Bob Crowther - The Tyne Theatre ghost: A former actor who'se ghost now resides in the Tyne Theatre occasionally staying to watch rehearsals, always from the same seat, which was apparently his favourite. This actor was killed backstage by being hit with a flying prop.

1) From Sunday Night Mass to Saturday Night Fever: Saving the daftest for last, a monk who was buried near the LaDolce Vita has been seen dancing in the discos that have been held there since. I can't find any dates where he appeared, but due to disco being mentioned, I assume it was the seventies at first, but could still be manifesting now. He has been nicknamed Joseph the Monk (Though I have no idea why) and apparently dances in his Habit. Seriously.

Well, there's the list. I hope you enjoyed, stay tuned, even though there isn't really any tuning involved, and Happy Hunting!

Roll out!

Anyone who guesses the reference will understand which franchise I have recently taken an interest in, but do not worry! Transformers will NOT replace the normal articles.

Anyway, the reason I didn't do anything on here in the summer was because I needed a break after my exams. Now, I'm back in the Sixth Form and ready to start up here again. Maybe a  new video will come next week, but it'll probably be in two weeks.

As promised last post, I have a lot of Top Tens and stuff to show you, including one on Mafia Ghosts and a Local Legends (remember that?) compilation. I was also in Newcastle during the summer, and whilst there I went to the Literary and Philosophical Society Library, and whilst I was there, I found a copy of The Haunting of the Borley Rectory, one of the earliest true paranormal investigation books by Investigator Harry Price. If this sounds familiar, you might remember it from Ghostbusters. When I first saw it written in a Ghostbusters book, I thought the book, Harry Price and the Borley Rectory were all fictional! I stand corrected. The building itself is well worth a look, as you can see below.
Courtesy of Wikipedia.
To celebrate the North as part of their Great Exhibition, I'll create a Top Ten possible paranormal phenomena of the North.

So stick around, stay retro and Happy Hunting!

Paranormal Ranking!

I have been resting on my laurels for the past week, as last month has had the record amount of views on this blog! Thanks for all the support fellow fanatics! It's helpful!

Anyway, to celebrate I have dug out a Sony Walkman from the attic, and tested my Recording Device. It shouldn't be long before it gets field tested, but that brings me to my next point.

My fellow team-members have "Given up the ghost" (Pun definitely intended) with Paranormal Investigation, and as you shouldn't ever investigate alone (for obvious reasons) I can't do any more investigations until I find new team members.

Despite this, this blog will still be updated every week with Rankings of all things paranormal, without trying to repeat what others have put.  If anyone knows how I can turn them into video format, please say! I've always wanted to know how to do this!

Anyway, despite the bad news, keep those cameras within arm's length and Happy Hunting!

New Video!

Yes, a new video, but sadly not a new investigation. I've been having doubts about my fellow team member's interest in the paranormal. So, for now, enjoy this tiny update video.

It is\will be live at the following link:

A little message

Hey, Students of the Supernatural!

So, at the moment, I'm on my own here at Ghostguard. None of my former team members are interested in the Paranormal, but I'm considering this as an actual future during College. So, I'm going to have a break after the next two videos.

Don't worry, this is not the end. In fact, this is near the beginning. But be prepared for a break in videos again. Sorry.

(Also, do any of you know how to make your recorded voice sound more like your real one? My voice on the videos sounds nothing like my actual one, so I need some help sounding less like a twelve year old kid.)

Happy Hunting, and be sure to trust me! New members sounds like a good plan!

On Deserts, the CIA and Weather Balloons: 71 Years since Roswell.

Back in 1947, a mysterious object crash landed in the Town of Roswell, New Mexico. It caused a large stir at the time, the effects of which are still felt today in the UFO and Paranormal communities all around the world.

Everyone knows about Roswell, due to the media often comparing other UFO sightings to it, no matter how dissimilar they are. It was the first recorded instance (that I know of) where dead bodies of aliens were seen by normal people. It was also possibly the first time people knew the US Government intervened and the first time the "It was a weather balloon!" explanation was used.

The aliens were the standard "Greys". Three Three-fingered grey humanoid beings with no ears and very large eyes, each clad in silver suits, ones not too dissimilar to those used during the Mercury and Gemini space programmes from 1961 to 1965, only much smaller and with no helmets. The alien's bodies were taking away, and a video was released in 1998 showing an autopsy on one of the bodies. However, this video was a definite fake. Do not believe it!

Roswell is now home to the UFO Museum, where the incident is investigated. I've never been to the museum (Or anywhere in New Mexico at all) but it is apparently okay, although now lacking some information discovered more recently.

Who knows where those aliens came from? Similar ones have been seen all over the world, now piloting triangular ships like the ones seen in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2016 to present. These original ships are the typical flying saucer, possibly an earlier craft as these are not seen often anymore. Similar aliens have also been seen in the Lonnie Zamora case, and the one in the English forest I don't remember the name of.

The case is famous, the most famous of the twentieth century. Now all we need is your opinion and some answers...

See you on the flip side, and Happy Hunting!

Thomas' Spirit Guide!

One of the aspects of Ghostbusters that has seemingly failed to catch on in real life is Tobin's Spirit Guide, the comprehensive guide to the ghostly by imaginary investigator, John H Tobin. However, in real life, no books like this exist, meaning we have to rely on the internet. Now, the internet is trustworthy, look at the innumerable amounts of convincing sightings (Lots of which come from the great Top5s) but there's so much stuff on it finding one you want is incredibly difficult, not to mention all the fakes and misunderstandings that are up there too!

This is why we need a comprehensive-yet-portable guide for investigations. We can't rely on the internet to even work for us, as some sightings have been reported to have interfered with phone signal and internet connection! And there's just something about a book isn't there?

So what do you think, does a book like this need to be written to compile the scientific evidence we've found? Or can we rely on another method of finding information? Tell us in the comments! And, of course, Happy Hunting!

The Lay of the Land

If you watched Ghostbusters III: Answer the Call back in 2016, you will probably have heard of Lay Lines. However, what you may not know is that they are a real phenomena that many are trying to prove. I have no real opinion, as there's not enough evidence for my liking, but what's been observed is very intriguing.

Lay Lines are large lines that cross over entire countries all across the planet, which cross over points of ghost sightings. These usually pass through stone circles such as the famous Stonehenge, leading some to believe that these stone circles are linked to the paranormal, one of the many supposed links between the two.

Whether you have a definite opinion on Lay Lines, they are an interesting idea that some people use to bring some sort of order to the Paranormal, something which is needed to sort out the science of it! But are they edging too close to the spiritual to be real? Or do ghosts really follow these lines? Perhaps we'll never know, but a little speculation wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for reading, see you in the summer for our next investigation and Happy Hunting!

What Ghostbusters got right. (Clue: Nearly everything)

Since the late 1800s, people have been into Paranormal Investigation, but one thing brought it into the public eye and renewed everyones thoughts on the Paranormal. The 1984 comedy-horror-action film Ghostbusters.

Everyone knows something about Ghostbusters, it's part of New York's culture now and that ain't going away pretty soon. But what people don't usually realise is how much of an effect it had on the world of the Paranormal Investigators. Ghostbusters created the craze, but how much did it really get right?

Well, writer Dan Aykroyd, the guy who plays over-enthusiastic paraphysicist Dr. Ray Stantz, was descended from Paranormal Investigators and claims to have seen ghosts himself. (Although he never calls them that, he refers to them simply as "Unidentified Lights") This should give you a clue on where the idea came from.

Ghostbusters also got critical appraisal from psychologists, according to Harold Ramis in "The Making of The Real Ghostbusters (Awkwardly presented by Rolf Harris). The science of Ghostbusters, especially The Real Ghostbusters, which was a Kid's Show! Talk of theories about other Universes and particle destabilisation and other unproven scientific concepts had surprisingly large grounds in real scientific thought!

Ghostbusters however did not get everything right. There is no "miracle" way to detect the paranormal like the PKE meter. We have to look for effects, in a similar way to the detection of black holes. The existence of Ectoplasm is highly doubted, with ONE convincing piece of evidence, whereas there being a myriad of types in Ghostbusters. Finally, famous ghost sightings are compiled into a guide, known as Tobyn's Spirit Guide. No book exists that is comparable to Tobyn's (yet).

So there you have it. Sorry about the large gap, but the next post is ready and will be uploaded later today. Be sure to check back tomorrow as well for more! The exams are finally over and we at Ghostguard can get back to videos! See you then, and Happy Hunting!

The Return of Ghostguard!

Sorry we've been gone for a few weeks. Exams and that have stifled our time for investigating the otherworldly! But now, as half our exams have been completed, this blog will be back in a action! This week there will be four posts, not including this one!

Firstly, we have a post dedicated entirely to Ghostbusters! Then we have another Local Legend underway, this time describing the Promenade Couple of Aberystwyth Prom. This will be followed by a new series, which I'm keeping under wraps for now and then a review of the K-2 EMF Meter I received back in January which has now been field tested in a haunted location!

Be sure to check us out on Youtube, although we haven't uploaded anything new, and won't until every exam is finish in early June.

Happy Hunting guys, and don't forget to check out the Paranormal Database on GOOGLE+ for more Paranormal Escapades from us, our allies at Creepy Seven Paranormal and many others, quite a few of whom are in Mexico. See ya' around!

SOMETHING STRANGE IN THE TESCO CAR PARK

Ghosts can come up in various places, from the ordinary castles and homes to discotheques, but a recent sighting from Dafydd has possibly come up with the winner of the weirdest manifestation area award, the Aberystwyth Tesco car park!

The ghost was a Class 3 or 4, of a girl in vaguely 1990s-sounding clothes from the description Dafydd gave me. He made eye-contact with her, and thought nothing of her, until three seconds later she vanished. I have been in the Car Park and know there is no way a person could be completely out of sight at that location. The person must have been a ghost, who dematerialised after being seen by Dafydd. Unfortunately, he didn't realise the girl was a ghost until it had disappeared, so obviously he wouldn't have any photos!

Now, I'm tempted to go back there and investigate, this time with our equipment of EMF Meters and Voice Recorders, to see if we find anything!

Anyway, this will be the last post for a while, as we have a lot of exams at the moment. This has severely limited our time for both investigating, writing these posts and answering Quora questions. I'll still answer Quora questions, and do the occasional post, but nothing big, like new videos, until the end of June. There should still be some activity though, so don't stop viewing the blog! It'll all be for our benefit!

See you in June, and Happy Hunting!

14 April 2018

Ghosts in the Land of Ice and Fire.

Now, I have not posted for about three weeks, sorry about that. However, I do have a valid reason for it. I have been in Iceland! I was there doing both ordinary Iceland and Paranormal related activities, having some cross into both categories. I'm tempted to do a Venn diagram of that, but I'll wait until after the post...

Anyway, as I only left Keflavik and arrived back in Aber yesterday, I though I should tell you about some Icelandic ghosts. Most of the Icelandic ghosts originate in Norse Folklore, such as their concept of the Hidden People, who live in a pocket dimension of sorts. Icelandic people are allegedly the most superstitious people in the Western World, so they do have people who still believe in these old tales, like the tales of King Arthur in North Wales. The story claims these Hidden People are the descendants of Adam and Eve (After the original settlers turned Christian anyway.) who were placed into this pocket dimension (For lack of a better term) as not to displease god.

More recently, a ghost has been sighted on one of Iceland's beaches, very near the famous "Black Beach" of Vik. This ghost has not been "seen" in the traditional sense, or been detected by EMF or any other kind of device, but has been caught on photo. Although no photos of the ghost itself exist, mysterious footprints has been reported on various beaches, but mostly in the area of Vik. Iceland is a famous seafaring nation, so perhaps these are the ghosts of long-dead traders or raiders.

Unfortunately, no ghosts have been reported in either of the hotels I stayed at, which could be taken as both a good or a bad thing! However, as Google only brings up Paranormal articles in my news-feed, I have heard about a party (For lack of a better term) of Class 5 free-floating vapours manifesting in an English night club! Ghosts at a discotech! What more could you want?

That's it for this week/month, and I will be posting "Overtime" to make up for the four or five odd posts I've missed out on. I would have done it over there, but the internet is quite patchy. See you on Monday, with an interesting experience from on of our very own members of Ghostguard! See you then, and Happy Hunting!

LOCAL LEGENDS

As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, the new local legends is on the mysterious "The Plane".

Now, the plane is another ghost, but one with a difference. The plane is, unsurprisingly, the ghost of a plane which crashed in the Plynlympon mountains in Ceredigion. The inhabitant was Army Air Corps pilot Xenephon E Eugenedes, who crashed,  and died, in 1945. The plane wreck is still lying around on the side of one of the mountains, despite many parts being stolen or vandalised.

Nobody is sure when The ghost started appearing, but I guess it wouldn't have been long after the crash occurred. A witness named Paul Jay saw the plane and expected to see the crash through his rear-view mirrors, but it simply disappeared.  I do not know when this sighting was, or of any other convincing sightings. It's possible it may not manifest anymore, but that would seem surprising.

A good topic to think about is whether the ghost of Eugenedes remains in the plane, as a Class 3 ghost himself, or if the plane "flies itself" for lack of a better term. It's also possible his ghost is separated from the plane, and is possibly wandering around Plynlymon looking for a way back home, although as he has never been seen, I doubt this.

The following link takes you to a website on Xenophon Eugenedes, which I got some of my information from.

https://xenophoneeugenedes.weebly.com

I hope you enjoyed this Local Legends post, as I noticed they aren't actually that popular! I'm not going to stop doing them though. So goodbye and Happy Hunting!

EXPANSION AND SOME OTHER NEWS

Greetings Paranormal Fans! This is going to be a medium-sized post on our recent expansion, plus some other news regarding ghosts and such.

Firstly, we have expanded into things other than the paranormal. Dafydd has recently mentioned something about sound videos on murders, of both the mysterious kind (Which I personally am interested in) to some that are simply gruesome. (which I find slightly too terrifying.) Whether we'll have any videos on these in the future or not has not been decided, but I'd say there will be. Watch this space!

Secondly, our videos on Ceredigion Museum have begun, and after we finish, we'll upload them. This will still take a month or so, and I apologise for this long wait between videos. Hopefully it won't happen again. All three of us have exams you see, so we have had to stop our Investigations to study and revise for them. It many go down to one post a week, but probably won't. I'll keep you informed on this blog.

Thirdly, Ghostguard will soon be going to a public event! Near us lies Llywernog Silver Lead Mines, which used to be mines back in the 1800s. They hold a bimonthly event (This year anyway...) under the name "Paranormal Investigations" so we decided to go. If you're around Ceredigion in the middle of May, then why not turn up? It sounds pretty good, if you ask us.

That's all the news we have, be sure to check back on Tuesday for a new Local Legends on "The Plane." That's all for now, Happy Hunting!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We here at Ghostguard have a Quora account, where we answer questions on many aspects of the paranormal. However, these questions are all very similar and often count as advice. So, in case you wanted to find out more about us, we made this blog post of Frequently Asked Questions we aren't asked over on Quora.

Q1. How many of you have actually seen a ghost and not just detected one?

A1. Actually, only Dafydd has seen a ghost in "real-time", not in a photo or anything like that. Fede has only seen them in photos and videos, only one of which he actually took. Tom has only come across high EMF readings!

Q2. How do I hunt for ghosts?

A2. I wont answer this one now, as I'm dedicating an entire post to it later in the week. be sure to catch it.

Q3. Do you charge?

A3. A good paranormal investigation team never charges their clients. Ones who do are in the business for the wrong reasons. We may charge if we have had to travel a long way, but that won't be much.

Q4. What got you into the Paranormal?

A4. Fede got into it after he met another kid with many experiences of the paranormal. I won't name him here, but the stories will come in a future post.

Dafydd has had contact with ghosts since he was much younger, and has never lost interest since.

Tom came along for the fun, now having more substantial thoughts on the subject after hearing of the Consti Woman (Although we didn't find evidence of her, not even an EMF spike!)

Q5. Are you ever going to release another video?

A5. We are working on one now, we've just had three lots of snow due to the Beast from the East, and it's smaller cousins. It involves Ceredigion Museum and it's Class 1 inhabitants, and maybe even a Class 3 if we ever get close enough!

Q6. What else do you believe in?

A6. All three of us believe in aliens and Dafydd is an expert on mysterious disappearances and the like. Tom and Dafydd also have an interest in Musical Theatre. Fede just watches his VHS of The Real Ghostbusters he found in a loft.

A BRIEF UPDATE!

Hello Paranormal Fanatics! This is just a brief update proclaiming that we will now be posting two blog posts a week instead of one. There's been a little bit of weather problems over here, involving a storm called "the Beast from the East", so we haven't been able to start any film-able investigations recently, but some should be on the way soon!

Blog posts to look out for will include "What Ghostbusters got right" and some scientific proof regarding the phenomena of Ley Lines. Don't miss out! See you then and Happy Hunting from Ghostguard!

WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER USE A OUIJA BOARD.

If you have seen any horror films about ghosts, it's very likely they had a Ouija Board in the plot. (Or even in the title, looking at you "Ouija") Lots of Paranormal Investigators use these to contact with ghosts, and they have become an odd part of Ghost Culture.

However, as with many aspects of the Paranormal, Ouija Boards are VERY dangerous. One of the most famous incidents involving Ouija Boards is the Brazilian University incident of 2012. During this incident, the students who were using the board were possessed and began to talk in a strange language. One of the students was exercised by a priest, and she vomited after the exorcism was completed, which is apparently aa usual occurrence.

The other problem with Ouija Boards is that, if they summon a Class 7 daemon, you could in theory end the World. The upside is that Class 7s have never been proved to exist, even less so than any other type of ghost! A Class 7 has obviously never appeared in this world already, as if one had, we'd have now about it by now, but that doesn't lessen the risk, as there is still some evidence, such as the daemon "Mama" first contacted back in the 90's

There have been cases of the users of Ouija Boards dying too, so please don't take the risk! Leave ghosts to the experts! Stay safe guys, and of course Happy Hunting!

HAUNTED HOUSES - TIPS.

Welcome Ghostguard fans! Do any of you have a ghost in your house? If you do, then call some Paranormal Investigators, but if you don't know, we've created a list of the classic things to look out for if a paranormal entity is manifesting in your home.

1. Cold Spots - A typical phenomena is the so-called Cold Spots that don't seem to have any rational explanation. We know that ghosts are able to manipulate the temperature of their surroundings. If you actually see a ghost, having a thermal camera would be brilliant! If you don't have one of these, never mind.

2. High EMF Readings - High EMF Meter readings are also associated with ghosts, with ghosts causing high spikes in electromagnetic fields. To check for ghosts, simply scan around with an EMF Meter (Available from any decent hardware store, Ghost Hunters Store or eBay. For good results, don't scan anywhere near a fridge, PC or any electric cables. For better ghost proof, scan in a cold spot.

3. EVP or Ghost Box results - Although you'll unlikely have a Ghost Box unless you're an investigator yourself, you probably won't have a ghost box, but any recording device, even a tape recorder as I used to use, would do. Record, and maybe you'll pick up some disembodied voices.

4. Never do anything spiritual - It won't do anything. However, Ouija Boards seem to. Definitely don't use one of these though. I'll explain why in a future post.

5. Who ya gonna call? - Just get in some Paranormal Investigators. Just in case it's malicious. Nobody wants to be killed by a ghost.

So there you have it, five tips to check if your house is haunted. Go forth and use these tips if you need to, or even if you simply want to. Just don't do anything dangerous.

Happy Hunting, and see you next post!

THE CLASS 3 AND CLASS 4 DEBATE

The Class 3 or Class 4 is what most people would think of if you said "Ghost," a humanoid ghost, usually floating.

However, many people have asked me what the difference between a Class 3 and Class 4 are, considering they look the same. I replied that if a ghost remembers some of it's previous life, it was a Class 4, if otherwise it would be Class 3.

It now seems, after some research, it seems that Class 4s are simply Class 3s after they have been identified by the Investigators! This may have made some of my previous posts and Quora answers incorrect. I apologise greatly.

On a Semi-related note, I may have detected evidence of a ghost in a Bar on Aberystwyth Seafront! I'll discuss this in a future post!

Sorry for the inconvenience, and Happy Hunting!

Possible Ghost?

ACTUAL NEW VIDEO!

Well, here we go again! This new video is the last part where we investigate up in Aberystwyth Castle, do tell us what you think. I'm sorry haven't been uploading for a while, but we've been caught up in a lot of non-paranormal related events, mainly the Penweddig Eisteddfod.

The next episode will come soon, but until then, Happy Hunting, and enjoy the video!

GROUNDHOG DAY CLASS 6'S!

Happy Groundhog Day!

Yes, it's already the second of February, and because of the festivities going on in Punxsutawney, I though we should celebrate here, by talking about the ghosts of animals!

A ghost of an animal is designated a Class 6, giving Class 6s a lot of wiggle room. Sightings include everything from ghost dogs, which allegedly inspired the Hound of the Baskervilles, to a question I answered on Quora involving a ghost hamster!

Some claim that Class 6 ghosts express similar traits to their living counterparts, only extended greatly. This is why ghost dogs are very loyal, ghost bulls are always angry and ghost cats are rarely seen doing very much. (These are all examples of ghost animals around my area.) Every animal also seems to be more malicious than when alive, in the same way as Class 5 ghosts.

So, Happy Groundhog Day! Enjoy your six more weeks of winter and, finally, Happy Hunting!

NEW VIDEO!

Then next part of our investigation in Aberystwyth Castle has been released! This video carries on with our search for the source of the high EMF Readings monitored at the former castle gate. I use the EMF Meter on this one, with Dafydd explaining how it works. We also prove that the camera is not giving off the EMF readings. We also shout to some people we know.

Despite the odd sounding title, it's for a good reason!

Now, you may have heard of fellow Paranormal Youtube User, Creepy Seven Paranormal, who posts some good content on the topic of the Paranormal. We here at Ghostguard have made a deal with Creepy Seven Paranormal. If you go to their channel, you will see a link to our channel on the side in the "Featured Channels" list. NEW VIDEO!

Yes, again! We've got more EMF Readings in this short video made just after the last part!

In this video, Tom says confusing statements about his life, Dafydd gets excited and Fede takes himself too seriously, believing himself to be Dr. Egon Spengler from Ghostbusters.

Enjoy! And, as always, Happy Hunting!

THE GHOST CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM

Now, anyone who reads our Quora answers should have noticed that we have used a classification system for ghosts.

This classification system was actually made for Ghostbusters! But many people have found it so useful, it's now used by actual Paranormal Investigators.

Here is the system, put simply.

CLASS 1: Invisible ghosts, mists, fogs and orbs. EMF Readings are possibly the only way to detect Class 1 ghosts. Some orbs appear in photos, but mists are rarer. Some people count EVP as Class 1, but I disagree with this.

CLASS 2: Sections of humans, usually hands or heads. These are actually quite rare, as most end up manifesting completely as a Class 3.

CLASS 3: The most common type of ghost, judging by the number of sightings reported on the Internet. These are usually full-bodied, although some lack feet or even whole legs, possibly because some simply don't need them. They do not remember anything about their pasts.

CLASS 4: A Class 4 is simply a Class 3 with a little bit of memories, usually their identity. Some people say that when a Class 3 has been identified then it automatically becomes a Class 4. This is a moot point, but it doesn't really matter that much.

CLASS 5: A Class 5 is a ghost that doesn't look Human in any way at all. These are usually quite malicious, or at the very least just a pain.

CLASS 6: The simplest to explain. A Class 6 is simply a Class 3 ghost, but of an animal not a human.

CLASS 7: Daemons. Ghosts of ridiculous power, that might not exist in the first place. If they do, they are the ones would contact through Ouija board sessions. If one manifested, we would know about it. The world would basically become the end of the first Ghostbusters film.

What the manifestation of a Class 7 would actually look like.

BACK TO WORK!

The new video is about to be uploaded, continuing our investigations in Aberystwyth castle, but on the 7th we are heading to a new location, Ceredigion Museum in Aberystwyth!

The Ceredigion museum was going to be our second spot to investigate, only refurbishment began on the building the day we were going to go.

According to one of the workers at the Museum, being there at night is scary and staff often feel like they're being watched. One theory Tom has come up with is that the old owner, from when Ceredigion Museum was the Coliseum Cinema back in the 1920's, is the ghost. If this is true, this might be our first Class 3 or 4 caught on camera! Excitement is not a big enough word!

Anyway, see you when the next video is uploaded, but until then, Happy Hunting!

P.S: Sorry this has taken so long, that's the Holidays for you. This shouldn't happen again.
