Ghosts of Newcastle and the North of England.

This is the first of the Paranormal rankings, this time ranking ghosts of Newcastle. This was inspired by me going there during the summer.
ghosts are all over Newcastle, according to various sources, but unlike most places, these aren't restricted to houses and apartments near famous locations. No, in the same way as New York and Edinburgh, most of the Newcastle sightings are IN the landmarks.

Partly so I can reuse this photo. Thanks Wikipedia.

HERE BEGINS THE COUNTDOWN.

5) The Lit and Phil: According to a sign I saw whilst inside the Lit and Phil, there are up to SIXTEEN ghosts that have manifested on three separate floors of the building. Now, some of these cold be the same ghosts manifesting as different classes, but I'm going to go with the figure they gave for this entry. According to their website, they "all seem to be linked to the Library, whether a member or employee," which makes sense, as it could explain why they manifested there in the first place. Apart from some information saying most of these sightings are audible only, such as coughing and pages turning without anyone being present, there is not a lot of information on these ghosts, but the Library is holding an Investigation night on the 27th of January 2019, from 9PM to 2AM, so you can check that out if you want.

4) Newcastle Castle: As you would expect from a place called Newcastle, Newcastle has a castle, and there have been sightings there too. These range from mists, orbs, mysterious scratches on visitors (Although, they could just have hit the masonry, it is a castle after all!) and poltergeist activity to "The Poppy Girl" a Class 3, possible former flower girl who was beaten to death by prisoners in the jail there. The smell of flowers is often reported alongside, or slightly after, the appearance of the girl.

3)  The Black Gate: With a name like this, I am not surprised at all to hear they suffer from poltergeist activity and other kinds of sightings, such as Shadowy Class 3s and a woman on a balcony who stares at people. Weird. Anyway, the ominously named, Black Gate is built on to the Castle, so some of them could be the same ghosts as the ones in the castle. You never know.

2) Bob Crowther - The Tyne Theatre ghost: A former actor who'se ghost now resides in the Tyne Theatre occasionally staying to watch rehearsals, always from the same seat, which was apparently his favourite. This actor was killed backstage by being hit with a flying prop.

1) From Sunday Night Mass to Saturday Night Fever: Saving the daftest for last, a monk who was buried near the LaDolce Vita has been seen dancing in the discos that have been held there since. I can't find any dates where he appeared, but due to disco being mentioned, I assume it was the seventies at first, but could still be manifesting now. He has been nicknamed Joseph the Monk (Though I have no idea why) and apparently dances in his Habit. Seriously.

Well, there's the list. I hope you enjoyed, stay tuned, even though there isn't really any tuning involved, and Happy Hunting!
